The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) of Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will offer 13 online courses in 2025. The courses offered are on Machine Learning for 5G and 6G wireless communication, Introduction to Photonics, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy in Pharmaceutical Analysis, Learning, Memory, Behavior and Brain, and more. Candidates can check the official website for more details.
The courses are mostly online with synchronous mode with occasional offline sessions. They are offered from January to May and August to December, and 15-20 courses are scheduled each semester. They are scheduled during evening hours.
The courses are normally at the post-graduate level. The eligibility criteria require a BE/B.Tech/BVSc/ME/M.Sc/MCA/MBA/B.Sc of four years. The institute looks for a relevant discipline corresponding to the course of choice.
CCE is a joint venture between IISc and several professional institutions in Bengaluru. It is ideal for engineers or professionals looking to explore new avenues in the emerging technologies.
The instructors for the courses are mostly IISc faculty members. Professionals from participating institutions and Research and Development organisations also offer a few courses.
After the completion of the course, examinations are conducted and successful participants are awarded grading certificates.
